21 Nov 2003	Kopsylime	Loading... I love the angle you see her from, so her breast faces up like that, and the way the wave is just about to move. It's very realistic, in a cartoony way. Jedediah Dougherty replies: "Thanks! I've been drawing comics for a few months, and that's probably where the cartoony is coming from."
26 Jan 2004	Demon_Heart	Loading... I'm sorry, but the one thing that bothers me about this picture is the color you gave her! She looks to be sickly, as if she were a dead fish floating on water ^o^. OTHERWISE, I love everything else about the picture! The water was truely captured in this! Jedediah Dougherty replies: "thank you- I think that skin tone is the result fo 2 things- first, I was trying to get a greenish, marine-ish color to her, since she is a fish-woman, second, I was trying to get that quality of light from right before dawn, where the sky is light, but the earth (or sea) is still blue and shady. So, yeah, she came out looking sickly. oops."
12 Mar 2004	Anne-Marie S. Lemieux	Loading... GOD this looks familiar...like something from ancient Japan, but I can't quite pin it down...GEEZE! It must be the wave, but there's something about the mermaid's position too...bah. It's 6:00am and there's a moon out. Who knows. Jedediah Dougherty replies: "Hm- I'll guess Hokusai for the wave, and Delacroix's swimming figures from Virgil leading Dante? Or is just some collective unconcious thing?"
