Disclaimer from the artist, I would like to state that I am strongly opposed to war. It is a horrible atrocity that has plagued humanity since the dawn of time and is responsible for the destruction of uncountable lives. Now with that said… In The Forty First Millennium, There is Only War. From the depths of hell the Night Lords came to sow evil and chaos throughout the galaxy the only thing that stands in there way is, the Dark Angles and a lot of bullets. The forces of chaos are paying a high price to capture this hill, paying for mere inches with numerous lives. The Space Marines of Chaos know as the Night Lords are clawing there way up and over the dead corpse of the Blood Thister who must of put up one hell of a fight before he was brought down in a hail of fire. The Dark Angels, Representing the Might of the Imperium, are stubbornly holding this essential hill in this war ravaged city against overwhelming odds. This was a penciled sketch that was gone over with pen and Ink on Bristol board. It was then scanned and colored in Photoshop. All characters are from the table top miniature strategy game Warhammer 40,000 from Games Workshop.

18 Aug 2006	40k rocks	Loading... Great Work,Unusual style. I play Dawn of War Winter Assault. Don't have the patience for the board games. Still, the 40k universe rocks. I have been hoping for a film set in the 40k universe for a while. Oh well, just have to make do with Winter Assault!!

The marines have a perfect advantage of the upper ground those chaos marines have to crawl up one steep hill while dodging huge slugs from a bolter and wait till that landraider gets there, those chaos haritics deserve it for abandoning the emperor this pic is great by far the best iv ever seen of warhammer
