Dawn R. Obrecht

I am 33 years old. I am a daycare provider for the moment. My true love is drawing, painting and writing poetry. I have 3 beautiful, artistic little girls (9,8,5) and a wonderful husband. Somehow I manage to squeeze in time to draw and paint my faeries. I LOVE faeries, and I LOVE the art of Amy Brown, Jessica Galbreth, and Nene Thomas along with Jasmine Becket-Griffith, Linda Bergkvist, Meredith Dillman, Selina Fenech and a host of others. Someday I hope to be as well-known.

 I have recently been published in "Faeries Through the Seasons" compiled by Christina Davis (I have 4 paintings and 4 poems within and the back cover art is by me) and "Imagine 2006" compiled by Jenni Mills (Midnight Stalker is made it in).

I work primarily in watercolor and accent things with white and metallic gouache and iridescent medium.  I outline my works in ink.  My earlier works were done in colored pencil.  Only occassionally do I do colored pencil now. ;P
