I had to write a simile for my English class so i decided to write on The Gypsy and the Sword. Hope you like.

Forever a Gypsy

The Sword is like a gypsy

It dances and it sings

Enchanting like a Dragon,

Its voice forever rings.

 

It's stubborn like the gypsies are,

And battles 'til its end.

Protecting like a guardian,

For its friends it will defend.

 

It sings a song like gypsies do,

And everyone knows its tale.

Exploring like a butterfly,

And never does it hail.

 

It's swift like the gypsies are.

Moving faster than the eyes,

Twirling like a pixie does,

Forever dancing 'til it dies.

 

Aiding others as the Gypsies do,

Mending the helpless hopeless heart.

Inspiring like a poet does,

Making things sweet what once was tart.

 

Unwanted as the Gypsies are,

Leaving each town after a show.

Determined as the knight who wields it,

Incessant 'til it kills its foe.

Wooooooow *prolonged admiration* i do like this very very much. there is a lovely flow to it~ like gypsies. *growls at u for being a better poet than i am* *changes mind and hugs u 4 ur creativity and wonderful poetry*~ i need sleep without it i get cranky~ thus mixed up contents = a mixed up mind

That's spiffy ^_^ I love similes, they's fun.
Couple o' things: "battle 'til its end" mayhaps "battle 'til the end"? Seems to roll off my tongue better or something.
"Making things sweet what once was tart." I think you could take out "things" if you wanted, it adds more poetism..or something that's actually a word.. heh heh.. yes
I don't mean to insult your poetry it's just so fantastic! The better something is the more picky I get, unfortunately. Those were the pickiest I can get ^_~

Very nice imagery! Lovely lovely all around
