I might make a "Poetry in the Woods" tour, and if I do, I'll be sure to include this one. Jenny (Jeni) Watson replies: "kool, i might be part of a tour never would've thought any of my poems were decent enough for that. Yeah i was thinking about the rhyming and smootheness as well but as said i wrote this quickly and without thought of rhyming. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and ecstatic that you commented. Thank you. I say "pah" to poetry, not because I don't enjoy reading it, but because I have been cursed to have been born with a lack of the poetry gene. I am being led to believe you somehow thieved it from me! Lol. This is very pretty, excellent sense of meter, and even though it is short and sweet, I found a lot of imagery called to the fore-front of my mind. I love anything that tells of the horrors of war, and I believe you just did that nicely. NEXT ONE!! ~~Kylia Jenny (Jeni) Watson replies: "Wow five comments! i feel so special. Anyways i'm glad you like. I should write another on war... hmm i need my muse... And no it was not I who stole from you. My dad passed his gift to me... but ya know my friend was taling about having stole someone's writing gift.... anyways yes im weird. lol. I'm really glad you enjoyed it! Doila lle! "

Jenny (Jeni) Watson replies: "I love rhyming. Strangely enough usually my mind makes up rhyming words before i even make up the story. Heh, tis strange this mind of mine. Anyways, i still have yet to figure out a rhyme for silver, or purple. Hmmm..."
| 25 Nov 2004 | E Purington | Loading...Short and sweet. Very lovely. One thing, though, is that the last line is missing a syllable, maybe a 'the hope'? Just a suggestion ^_^ Fantastic. Rhyming wasn't forced..it was very..Shel Sylverstein..or however you spell that guy's name
