As I was going through, cleaning older images out of my gallery, and I came upon this one and read all the stories left in the comments... How could I delete it, after so many people took the time to post their own ideas? So, it stays- and feel free to add your own story about what has happened or is happening to this poor gryphon.

This image is no longer representive of my work, however, so many others have put more time and love into this with their stories, I will leave it up indefinately. A sincere thank you to everyone that passes by and looks at my art, but the real credit for this piece should go to each of you that has written a comment below!

"Mother..." The now-older gryphon whispered as he looked at the blood on his talons. Upon the shattered rocks of the ancient nesting place he stared at the disaster that struck his kind. Blood was splattered among the rocks, and parts of egg-shells scattered among the dead and mangled bodies. He went to hunt for food and when he returned...this.
His eyes brimmed with tears as he looked at his mother’s dead body. He took in the sight of his to be brothers and sisters and how their eggs were smashed mercilessily. A howl of outrage tore from his throat: spreading his massive black wings he vowed to avenge them; his mother, his unborn brothers and sisters, and the others in this sacred nesting place.

YOu made me sad. This is one beautiful picture and so lovely. Sad. :’( Still so beautiful.

Tears of rage brimmed in his eyes, for he knew what did this, the elves the only thing that had the power to do this.As he walked through the mangled bodies he had but one thought,to kill whoever did this. His other thoughts were how he had only went out for a few hours and had not heard the cries of help.......He was paind greatly when he spread his wings and took off. comment on my story if you like i would appreciate it ^.^

i think it’s a vegetarian gryphon that has just entered into adulthood and had to take part in a centuries-old ritual, his first kill. i can make a story out of that... kudos to a stunning drawing

He looks sad, surprised. Like he performed an act of terrible sin and is disbelieving of his wrongdoing.

In shock he drew his claw away. It was wet. Sticky. Bloody. Red blood covered his talons, streaking down the side like so many snakes. Staring, he was strangely fascinated by the sight, this liquid that gave him life. This was his blood. His life. Gasping, he turned his eyes to his attacker, whose wide eyes reflected the panic in his own. Darkness crept into his mind as the pain returned. Sweet darkness.

As he is looking at his claw, dark of the red blood dripping down. He felt a sorrow like never before, the one he loved was no longer breathing. She was not moving, and he could not understand why. She was a human, his soul and heart. The only one how loved him, and now she was gone. He stroke her with his claw, hoping she would breath ones more. He howled in to the dark night, howled his sorrow to the moon. Hoping her soul would return, to find is way back to her motionless body. Without her, he had no reason to live. With no were to go, he lays down next to her. Waiting fore his soul to leave his body, waiting until he dyes. So he can be with hes ones more in the next life. As his soul leaves his body, he feels a drop from the sky, crying of how the world have become. Cruel and heartless, with no mercy fore lost souls.
