| 5 Jan 2004 | Alyssa Renae White | Loading...Hey! Thank you for commenting on my art work! Im slacking in responding to my comments right now. I think that is really cool you have the same last name as Bob. *^*points up*^* He is one of my really good friends. Your work is really great keep it up! Ḅcan Duchess Alyssa Jennifer Portela replies: "Haha thanks! I was searching for the name Frendt one day and found Bob's site...and it was so weird because I had JUST applied for an Elfwood site. So it was cool to find another Frendt on Elfwood...come to think of it I think I linked to your site from Bob's. Anyhoo thanks for stopping by!" | |

| 23 Mar 2004 | Gregory P. Gibbons | Loading...I was just wandering through the Wood when I happened into your little Grove, and I must say, I really like the way the image Spring Breeze has a vellum tint to it. That sort of touch always draws my eye. But I would recommend that you continue to practice the human figure- the work you have done reminds me of my own during my trials as an illustrator. Keep up the good work, and well met! PS, that is a very fetching photo, I must say! Ahem. Sorry. Jennifer Portela replies: "Thank you very much for stopping by! And actually the color on "spring breeze" was totally an accident, because it was done on a really old sketch pad thats turning colors haha. Actually these pieces that I have up are some of my older work, and in the past few weeks I've been drawing much more, and I've noticed a huge change in the human anatomy. I've just submitted a ticket, so check back for updates soon! Oh and about the picture...it just happened to come out that cool when my mom was doing my senior pics, and there's no photo-enhancement or anything. Hahaha thanks!" | |
| 24 Mar 2004 | Thomas J. Griffin | Loading...you have a great gallery you should put up some of your older dragon drawings and keep up with the coloring! Mayhaps join a color theory class in college or sum such. Also some of the stories behind your drawings are good. So I don't know if your secretly developing a comic or some written piece but keep at it, and God bless. Jennifer Portela replies: "Well most of my older dragon drawings probably couldn't be identified as dragons....haha. As for the stories, I've just come up with little peices so far, but maybe I'll write a comic one of these days. Thanks for dropping by!" | |
| 3 Apr 2004 | Joanne | Loading...Oh yeah...and a break from computer art nerds. (I know you want photoshop but I think color pencils are better because staring at a computer for 6 hours puts a strain on the brain....people who are willing to color things manually without the help of a computer are true artists.) Jennifer Portela replies: "Wow, thanks for your comments! " | |
| 3 Apr 2004 | Joanne | Loading......I must have dropped off the face of the world. Ah...a break from people who think they can color/draw and a break from the growing world of Japanese wanna-be's. | |
