This is another hybrid I came up with just a couple of weeks ago, and he's affiliated with the element of wind.I'm already in the process of making a background story for the little guy. I know I drew him large in this pic (my hand had a mind of its own!!) but he's very small, like those little whippet dogs.
Since I made him a wind based creature, I decided to give him the anatomy of an animal that runs very quickly, or aerodynamic or however you spell that ^_^; I named him King for now, and as you can see, he's looking up rather gloomily at his master. Yeah, he must not be happy. The thing is, his owner is a rich snob who loves to pit him in races against other creatures of his rank. He rarely loses and was given the name King after being declared "The King of the Track". He's his master's most prized possession and is not allowed a single moment of privacy in her large, castle-like mansion. She always throws parties for each one of his victories, and forces him to "perform" in front of her guests, from fetching a ball at the end of the hall or being pushed outside to race against another arrogant jerk with a companion in the same predicament as King. King has lost only a few races, and was punished severly. He was kicked and beaten by his master and thrown into a small cage where he could barely have room to move. The rich lady's kid would taunt him with food since he wasn't allowed to eat. She thought food was making him fat and slowing him down, so she stopped feeding him for a few days, and that's when he got really weak and wasn't able to race so much anymore. He still does, but now he is terrified of losing out of the fear that she'll resort to something far worse than just torture...
Right now I have bits and pieces of a story in my head, but so far I see King in a cage or some kind of confined area where Wolf finds him and rescues him. I may change King's appearance, I'm not sure. I have no idea where that pose came from...
Anyway, more grotesque photoshopping! I'm practicing like I said I would, and right now I'm playing around with different techniques and tools. I favor the smudge tool over anything else!! I won't be able to finish this for a while since I don't have PS. I've been using the program in the computer lab on my campus, and I'm glad to have been able to use it. It's really fun, but I must stop for now, cause vacation starts and I won't be back on campus for about a month or so.
Please! If you have any suggestions, criticism, or just plain insults, let me know! I'm still learning, and I need all the help I can get! I wanna be ready to finish this when I get back, but right now I'm experimenting with it and I know about the little errors like uncolored areas and no shading and such.
New name suggestions are welcome, too. Hm... He really isn't the king of the track if he isn't happy... He's more like the King of.... of Sorrow....... O.o
Ignore me. I have Klonoa on the mind right now. Hee hee.....
