"You Don´t Need Wings...: Zeta sketch" by Jennifer Deese

This sketch came outta nowhere. I was working on some character designs for junior studio this weekend and started letting my mind wander, as usual... Grabbed a pen and roughed out the pose for this. For some reason I dared myself to keep going so I ended up redrawing the scribble about four more times before I came up with this.

Zeta's a character I've had for a few years now, but I haven't been able to draw him until recently. I know it's not perfect, but I learned that you have to keep practicing until you get it right. I learned that through my junior studio work, too.

Sketched with a .05 mechanical pencil on animation paper. The whole redrawing process took about 2 hours, and this final sketch took about half an hour by itself.

Well, back to work!
