Jesse is a sophomore who loves everything about the fantasy art genre. His love for fantasy books and games spurs his creativity and images of his characters.

Hello everyone and thanks for visiting my gallery! If you see something you like or whatever make sure you leave a message (Cause I love getting em =P). Well other then that, I hail from Buffalo New York where I am 17 and a Junior in High School. I've been in love with art ever since I was a child but it wasn't until about 4 years ago that I got into the fantasy genre. It started by reading my first ever high fantasy book Terry Brook's 'The Sword of Shannara'. From there I read the entire series and moved onto J.R.R. Tokien, R.A. Salvatore, etc. Other than artwork, another form of expression for myself is music. I've been playing since the age of 5 and have learned multiple instruments since then (guitar being favored). Music also gets me in the mood to work on my art, just pop in anything like Jam (moe., String Cheese Incident, Keller Williams), HipHop (Talib Kweli, Blackalicious, Poor Righteous Teachers, Dead Prez), Poetry (Saul Williams, Ursula Rucker), or Reggae (Bob Marley, Burning Spear), etc. and I'll be drawing in no time! Another interest of mine is Politics, as you could probably tell by some of the musical influences above. I'm very much involved with my beliefs in many topics and plan on going to school in a field related to Political Science, but right now while in highschool, I'm taking as many art courses as possible! Jesse A. Raderman replies: "Yeah I'm still playing with color, gonna try to do one with colored pencils instead of comp coloring some time in the future."

11 Sep 2002	Anonymous <Archaismic@ear...net	Loading... You have potential for some good art. You have the creativity aspect to work with. You could be a great artist. A few books I suggest, Anatomy for the Artist By Jeno Barcsay. Most of the books figures are in a more greek type style, as opposed to fantasy oriented. Also you seem to have a good handle on perspective, but it can always get better. I have been drawing for some 10 years now and have learned that drawing shapes and shading them for hours and hours and hours can be fun. It also strengthens shading and perspective if you put forth the effort to do so. You could use some work with you flow. Your characters are strong but the flow of them makes them seem very unreal. Admittedly, fantasy is not supposed to be all together realistic, however it helps suspend the reality and make you WANT to believe a character is real if you make them flow. Make them real.
