Silver Star



Silver star of the night,

Forever in a sea of flight.

Infatuated with the sky,

Forever and always wondering why.



I look towards the heavens,

And what hither do I see?

I see not sixes nor sevens but

A silver star flying over me.



So protective yet deviant,

It softens my hardened heart.

Wandering lightly and never grievant

My star whispers, "We'll ne'er part."



My sweet, illustrious, Silver Star,

You make my soul leap.

I'll always love you from afar,

And dream of you in my sleep.



Oh, soft, twinkle, Silver Star,

Wander aimlessly no more.

Your sea of black was ne'er marred,

And the questions were implored.



Silver star of the night,

Forever in a sea of flight.

Do not wander aimlessly through the sky,
