I drew this with the gryphon sleeping as the idea but now that I look at it again after having it tucked away in my sketchbook it looks like some kind of fantasy hunting photo. Yes I know the truck is not finished. I am not even sure why the gryphon would be sleeping in the back of a truck. I think the reason I made it a vehicle was because it was the only thing that came to mind to match the odd angle that the gryphon is drawn at. Tell me whatcha think.

I love this picture! if i was a griffin, er um or as you spell it 'Gryphon' that would be me! i would be too lazy to fly any where so i would sneak a ride on a trunk even thougt i didnt know where it was going, (it was moving! it was temping)and then i would sleep alot. yep, thats me

I would say it is a sleeping gryf because the hands are placed as if in a nice relaxed slumber, not sprawled all over the place as if tossed back there in the truck bed in death. The head hangs down like the gryf may be dead, but then again he's probably too asleep to notice that he's slipping off the bed...

Cute! I like it. I agree with Lady, he doesn't look dead, more like he's asleep because his limbs and paws are placed in comfortable slumbering positions. And By th' way, I like th' unfinished-truck effect, it makes it look as though the vehicle is driving "off" th' page, because you can't see all of it. Quick advice: Color it! It would be so Kawaii! ^^

Oh So you do have a gallery! I put in "Sleeping Gryphons" on the search engine--I haven't used that in a while--ans this is what came up! Kool! I drew something almost exactly like this back in 1995+/- based on one of my cats sleeping on the edge of the coffee table (He eventually slid right off with a whump opposite of his rump!) It's so startling because I've never finished it up or posted it. So you must have cats too and they inspire you, Am I right?!

Yup, cats are nifty, though I think I did this before I got my cat. This was a while ago and it's hard to remember details about drawing it. I think I got the form fairly decent. ~Jesse

*chuckles* I saw the thumbnail, and I thought the truck was an overstuffed armchair. I love the pose, but it does seem an odd one for a truck. Hehehe! Great idea. 2

Love it..........please finish it, (the truck)

I think the griffon is the prize catch at the end of a big hunting trip.
