'Griffonis rex,' the most well-known of Gryphon species. A large predator, growing to over six feet in length. Wingspan to fourteen feet. Mates for life, male nominally larger than female and has thick, furry mane around head and chest. A selection from the Basement Bestiary. (Yeah, I know, Gryphons are sort of common, but he's a handsome creature to lead off with.)

Hrms nice piccie, heres an idea do a cute one 12 a cute female snow leopard gryphon... LOL... or maybe a wolf gryphon that hasn't been done often LOL 12
I'm working on it
Only comment here is, the gryphons head (if I remember right) should look like one of a hawk or eagle... right? Well If I am right.. I find that this guys head looks closer to a vulture, maybe its due to your style of inking/drawing I'm not sure but its something to consider.
The way I have his beak shaded makes it look more like a Vulture's, so that's what it is. I made it look rounder than an Eagle's.

Excellent griffin. I really like the positioning and the wings.
The "overhead" view was fun to draw

Wow...thats a really nice picture, very Arthur Rackham, nice...but, would those wings hold his weight?

:-) Jessie W. Thomas replies: "They probably wouldn't, no, and it's the only problem I have with this pic. I wasn't thinking of Rackham when I did it, but I recently looked over some of his work, and I do like it."

Cool griffin...it looks like drawings back in the day...drawings that I used to find in encyclopedia pictures...mmm yeah keep it up!

:-) Jessie W. Thomas replies: "Those old illustrations are precisely the sort of things that inspire me when I do these pictures. You're very right!"

This is a very nice angle. I don't think I have ever seen a griff from above before.. Keep up this great ideas of yours!

:-) Jessie W. Thomas replies: "Thank you! I like to work on different or challenging poses, and I wanted it to seem like the Gryphon was peering up at the viewer."

Wow! You are very talented! I really like this! Animals are so hard to draw (I think)... one animal is hard! But a combination like this! Great work! Keep it up!

Nice claws and mane. I share the opinion about the wings not working well.
