SciFi and Fantasy Art Expressionism by Jessiqa Greenblatt

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, which is why I find it to be such a challenge making brief descriptions. What I was going for in this sketch wasn't just the illustration of 'Oh, he looks sad;' I'd like to think there's more behind his expression than that. Of course, to encourage feedback, -you'll- have to tell me what that 'je ne sais quois' is. As for the technical aspects of the drawing; I tried to keep it just assymetrical enough to make it a little more real, and to leave a little ambiguity about dear Daemien. I'd like to thank Joe for providing me with the inspiration for this pic; I hereby dedicate it to him. Love ya! ^_~

Not after what he's seen, what he's done. He wants only to collapse into his love's arms and just be held, safe and warm. But there is an indescribable fear that she will look at him, see him for what he truly is, and reject him. Turn him away. (of course, we know she won't)

It looks like he's hunted down, has lost all hope and is now ready to just give up and become a slave... he's just so tired of all the pain. He has seen horrible things happen to the ones the loved, and is now afraid that whatever bad lucks he attracts, it will stay away from her... his lover... his savior
