Yay! The very FIRST picture scanned with my OWN scanner! Thank you sooo much, Uncle David! My first draft on this picture was done sometime last year on a 3x5 index card (done in pencil like this, as usual). It was the first image of an animation sequence I was making. It started with Ophellia in that pose, then she dropped her hands as her head turned, looking out of the page. A cherry blossom was picked up from her palm by the breeze, and I zoomed in on her face. The blossom floated in front of her face, and then was cut apart by Damien's sword. That's as far as I did with the animation. On a random note, I saw a few episodes of the Lodoss War TV series this summer, and was shocked to find that what they did with Deedlit in one part of the opening was almost exactly what I did with my animation.

Huzzah! I recieved my own scanner when I graduated last June, I know how it feels. 2 Animation sequence? I am really curious to see. This here is an awesome picture, I especially like the detail in the face and the accuracy with the proportions in the hands and arms, all twisted into that nice pose.

hey jessiqa... i know, i haven't written a response in a LONG while, but i just wanted to say that this is my favorite drawing of yours (so far) and honestly, I don't know why. I mean, you've improved so much that everything appears flawless and beautiful, yet this picture still intrigues me the most. i know i must've said this before, but i think it's the very "human" expression on her face, the sad look in her eyes, as well as the way she folds her arms as if thinking back on a painful memory. Even if i hadn't seen the animation sequence, I would've had the impression that she was moving forward or gliding on a smooth surface, maybe water. I know, i'm rambling, but just know that i LOVE this pic (and have a poor way of showing it with words). Miiiiiir

Is this the same character as in Prelude To A Kiss? Because, this almost rocks as much as that! I am no artist, never have been, never will be, so to have just one day to be able to draw the way you do, I would be one very happy girlie!
