| 10 May 2004 | Aimee Maxine Kitchens | Loading...Oh my god this is funny. I now have to go and see the comic... FUNNY... I wonder if it will still be funny with the dialogue. Jill Johansen replies: "heh, glad you like it. it's even better, especially the panel with the lightning and all, (whch i am sure doesn't make a whole lot of sense with no dialogue) with the dialogue. Christopher wrote a great dialogue between these two!" | |

To bad Norway hasn`t got it as a religion anymore, though... Now most people are christians (not that I have a roblem wth it, I just think it is much more boring ^_^) This is really great work, Love your style!!!! Jill Johansen replies: "yeah... Christianity just lacks the ’oomph’ of the Norse pantheon and stories " | |
| 6 Jun 2008 | Anon. | Loading...i am a christian and it has enough ’oomph’ for me, thank you very much Jill Johansen replies: "You have to keep in mind that as an atheist, I’m coming from a point of view where BOTH are just stories to me, i don’t believe the Bible is true any more than i believe the Edda is true. So on the one hand you have the Bible, it’s got some good stuff, i guess, enormous floods, fights with giants, cities being destroyed, people being turned into salt and such. (though I always found the morals int he Sodom and Gomorrah story to be distasteful at best. ’here! rape my daughters!’ and he was *rewarded* for doing this? O.o) But, the Norse has waaay more giants, elves, a giant cosmic cow, shapeshifting gods that give birth to 8 legged horses, Valhalla, Valkyries, Dwarves that can make hair of pure gold, and Ragnarok is just so much cooler than Armageddon. Plus, Odin sacrificed a lot to GIVE people knowledge, whereas the Christian god gets all pissy when we gain knowledge and it’s treated as an eternal sin passed down forever cus one chick ate an apple. Seriously, it’s impossible to know what good truly is without knowing the other side, so I really don’t know how gaining knowledge of good and evil is such a bad thing. I know you’re going to say i’m oversimplifying, and you’re right. but i only have so much time to type this comment." | |
