| 24 Dec 2008 | Coppermare | Loading...very nice!!! i really like this piece. centaurs should have the lower half of their body different in these ways, shorter, (tall and long ways) the hooves should be bigger, and the tail has to match somewhat to the hair. very nice!! he looks convincing!!! Jill Johansen replies: "hm. guess you wont like my other centaur character, then, with a more ’racehorse’ type body. long legs, long body, small feet." | |

| 2 Jun 2010 | Anon. | Loading...Just a thought, but I think that with Centaurs that the "horse" color should be carried up the body, I find the color seperation in the mid-section a little awkward. Jill Johansen replies: "He actually *sorta* does, but I’m treating it as bare skin vs. fur in the waist line separation. There is no fur above the waist. But in this particular case, he does have pigment-less skin on his face and lower arms. He also has one blue eye, one brown, where the ’white’ passes over one eye, like happens with some horses with ’bald’ faces.
I do need to keep the skin relatively normal coloured though, for story purposes. They actually did start out as humans and elves who were magically transformed, so I’d like to keep their faces the same as before they changed. Though this guy was born this way. " | |
