I drew this to welcome one of my favourite characters, Apollo, back to the world of printed comics. When Wildstorm closed up shop I was saddened, because I would not see him again, probably for a long time... but he came back sooner than I was expecting! He will soon be appearing in the DCU proper, starring in Stormwatch, and I'm very excited! :D His costume was redesigned, and he got a haircut, though. The costume has grown on me, somewhat, but I miss his hair!

Anyway... for some reason, I felt like I had to go full on superhero for this one, even though the Stormwatch crew vehemently denies that they are 'superheroes'. And I knew he had to be happy, because he always was the cheerful and friendly one when he was in The Authority, and the sun had to be in it. this is what came out.

I made a slideshow of progress on this pic
