"Pepe LeBeau - Gambit X-Toon" by Jill Johansen

Ah, the one that started it all! Ok here's the story.
One day in class, we were drawing Pepé LePew from Looney Tunes. That day, the great and wonderful 'comic book guy' had set up shop in the main mall of the school. Many of us had made purchases, and naturally the discussion led towards comics. Since Origin had come out that day, and several of us had gotten a copy, the discussion turned to the X-Men, but we were talking about our assignment of drawing Pepé at the same time. One thing led to another, and we came to the consensus that Pepé LePew was merely Gambit from the X-Men in disguise (and Rogue is that cat that always manages ro rub up against the freshly painted flagpole, hence the white streak). So here you go, the X-Toon that started it all - Gambit!.

I actually turned my assignment in to be marked with Pepé as Gambit... I got an A!
