??? ???

I have been doing nothing till up to this point unless I decide to do something nothing else will happen…

Nothings happening…

Still nothing…

Okay this is getting boring there’s nothing to do except stare at nothing and play with nothing, I’m fed up with the aforementioned so I’m going to create something other than nothing.

Was that supposed to happen? I created an explosion that blew me away, it singed my and burnt my beard, but what a result!

I now have lots of beautiful lights surrounding me in this big vast nothingness, it wasn’t what I expected but it’s a start, now I wonder if I could move them…

Ouch, that wasn’t a good idea, the heat these lights pack! Almost fried my hand to a crisp!

I wonder how many lights I’ve got?

1...2...3...4...

364...365...366...367...

1092...1093...1094...1095...

Ok I’ve given up counting them there seems to be to an infinite number of these lights but what bothers me is that some seem to be going out, or losing their heat I wonder why?

I finally managed to pick up one of the lights it had already gone out cold long ago, so it didn’t burn my hand.

Would you believe it? The lights are going out because they somehow appear to be growing skin, a crusty sort of skin that if you peel off you can see the insides of these lights, which seem to be glowing red and gives off a little heat.

This skin seems to harden by each minute until its almost impossible to pull off, I think Ill call the it “dirt” it seems to be getting all over my robes.

Most of the lights have gone out and are covered by this dirt which seems to be getting harder each day, however some of the lights still continue to shine with the heat they had the day I made them.

I think I’ll call them “stars”.

I discovered a strange thing, as I held on of the tiny lights which was now completely covered with dirt (stars that have been covered with dirt I think I will call “rocks”) I discovered that some of my sweat had dribbled onto it.

Big deal thought that was until I noticed some of the left over sweat now contains greenish gunk ugh!

I blew some of this icky slime away which in turn I accidentally blew fire out of my mouth I didn’t know I could do that, pretty cool eh?

It seems as if the balls of rock react to my spoken command.

I was twiddling my thumbs when I got an idea, gathering a few of the cooling stars that were not so hot to handle, I bunched them into a big ball, the result?

My very own super huge star that really gives off light far and wide.

Next I gathered a few rocks and crushed them and rolled them all together into a thick roll of warm red paste.

Finally I stretched it out forming a thick dark red sheet I then waited a few minutes for it to cool down, but it was taking AGES to cool down so I tried an experiment, If I could breath fire out of my mouth maybe I could spout water?

Nope.

I ended up shooting a fire storm which annihilated several rocks and caused quite a few stars to go nova it was quite an explosion I tell you but luckily it was no were near my thick sheet. (Fireworks?)

Now I’m left with these creepy little holes in space that if I stick my head through I can see another part of this…well this big…splat….dark thing…with lots of stars and rocks, I really should think of a name for it.

Bored I went back to twiddling my thumbs, this time I really went for it I think I hit about 50 knots of speed until my elbow suddenly got really wet, so that’s how you create water…

2 James 'Jimbo Fett ' Inwood replies: "Well hello stranger, how did you come across my humble corner 'o' the woods? Im glad you liked this little ditty."

Now that is random...
And utterly and completely whacked...
But how did the deity end up there, eh?

21 James 'Jimbo Fett ' Inwood replies: "Teh diety doesn't have to answer to YOU!"

huh. cool idea. "I think I will call them "stars"" was my favoirite line. much could be done with this.

10 James 'Jimbo Fett ' Inwood replies: "I just cannae be bothered with it now."

It was interesting and funny. If you added a bit more structure and detail, I think you'd have a really great story. *smiles*

2 James 'Jimbo Fett ' Inwood replies: "THankies Wendy!"

HAHAHA God really is such a schmuck, you'd think with a gert big beard like that he'd realise playing with fire is a bad idea! Sheeesh what to they teach them at Deity pre-School nowadays, next he'll be playing with knives in the road and sticking forks into plug sockets....Hehehe no seriously this is great, and very funny. I love the whole "I think I will name them etc etc etc" stuff, reminds me of the Whale in Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy! If you are having trouble with the running on sentences (I personally think it adds to the style of this particular piece, but I can see how it would be a bit out of place for other things) you could always get someone to proof read it and help you! But hey, who cares as long as it's funny, which it most certainly is! ^_^ have a cabbage cookie!!

13 James 'Jimbo Fett ' Inwood replies: "I must confess, I've only just started reading Hitchhikers and I'm halfway through the fourth book, I'm glad you enjoyed this...thanks for reading it mate!"

I find this quite humorous. Although it does give me the impression that the deity has just graduated from preschool but hey even a deity has to start somewhere, Eh? 12
I think you could go on a bit more with this and come up with a slightly more interesting/twisted ending. 2

6 James 'Jimbo Fett ' Inwood replies: "Hmm I might one day...this is such an old piece of work you see. Thanks for reading it though mate."

Enjoyable read. sort of qabalistic in it's beginning. (1.2.3.4 Y.H.V.H.) is that what you were aiming for?

22 James 'Jimbo Fett ' Inwood replies: "That's a new word to this patchwork-brain, so I'll just nod and agree with you. Cheers for the comment, pal."

Quite groovy and I laughed ocassionally...liked the whole counting the stars thing and singing his beard...HA! But I have to say I was a little confused quite frequently though :-s Highly entertaining though, well done!!!!
Lotsaluv, Em

21 James 'Jimbo Fett ' Inwood replies: "Confusing people is what Jimbos do best, but I'm glad you enjoyed the piece despite being confused by the excessive randomness. "

*the self-proclaimed Minion of Punctuation sprinkles you with apostrophe dust, and some commas for good measure*

I laugh in the face of utter randomness, so this made me laugh quite a lot. Okay, structural, spelling and punctuation issues aside, I really liked it.

One day when you feel so inclined, write more because a) i wanna read more and b) I have this sneaking suspicion that we carbon based life forms will eventually come out of the sweaty greenish gunk (I could be wrong, so you'd better finish it quick so I can find out, mmm hmm yes.)

Indeedy slightly reminiscent of Douglas Adams (which you can take as a huge compliment since I he is akin to a god to me.)

*looks up* Wow I've rambled on about pointless junk, haven't I? Will stop right about... now. No, now. And... NOW! Eeek...another one that wants an update....problem is that I'm not sure if I care about this anymore...but I'll give it a shot. Thanks for reading mate.
24 Jan 2007:-) Heidi Hecht
This sort of reminded me of Monty Python and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy rolled into one-I mean, a god created the universe because he was bored? Good for a chuckle.
