Jin Chung replies: "I think the starting part is the best part, which really represent the typical style of the director. If you miss that part, you probably should watch it again...." | |
| 17 Aug 2008 | Vineet Aggarwal | Loading...Well its a bit complicated but i’ll try to give it in brief to u.. u see according to the Shrimada Bhagavatam which is one of the ancient hindu texts, Krishna’s direct expansion is Vishnu and Brahma takes form from Vishnu.. from Brahma emanates Shiva and the latter three then form the Holy Trinity of Hinduism.. therefore krishna is placed even above the trinity and is the Supreme God Jin Chung replies: "Hmm...That make Hinduism sound like monotheistic....Thanks for the explanation." | |

| 24 Aug 2008 | Vineet Aggarwal | Loading...No thats totally wrong! there is a legend in which Shiva morphed with Parvati and gave rise to the half-man and half-woman form known as the Ardha-narishwar but that was just to show his disciples that the male and female are two sides of d same coin and not separate from each other.. its just like d union of Yin and Yang.. | |

| 5 Feb 2009 | Vineet Aggarwal | Loading...No dude she doesnt kill him... u know sometimes u really jump to conclusions!! well here’s how the story goes.. Kali is the fierce form of Shiva’s wife Parvati.. when as Kali she starts killing the demons she gets into a frenzy and the demigods find it difficult to hold her back!! Everybody is in a fix how to stop her from further carnage and then Shiva decides to intervene.. He goes and lies down in the path of kali and as soon as Kali steps on her husband’s body, she snaps back to her senses!! As a sign of her shame at having disrespected her husband in such a fashion, Kali sticks out her tongue.. This is the most common representation of Kali and is called Dakshinkali | |

| 6 Apr 2009 | Jess Reynolds | Loading...You’ve got a ways to go, as far as a playing deck goes, but what is Tarot? | |
| 1 Oct 2009 | Jeanette M Thomas | Loading...Jess, the Tarot deck doesn’t quite work out as above. No one knows whether the playing deck and the Tarot may or may not predate each other, but they share certain things in common. Regular deck is composed of 4 suits, Spades, Clubs, Hearts & Diamonds, each numbered from Ace (1) to 10 and court cards Jack, Queen and King. Tarot has 78 cards total. 22 Major cards like Magician, Death and the World, and the minor cards, 4 suits of 14 cards each, Swords (Spades), Wands ( Clubs), Cups (Hearts), and Pentacles or discs (Diamonds) with one more court card - Page (or Princess), Knight (= to Jack), Queen & King. The cards here equate well to with the minor set. The suits correspond well. But I can’t see how the artist relates the Major cards to the rest of the deck, such as Death to the King of Clubs, the Emperor to the Queen of Spades, and Temperance to the King of Diamonds. Court cards don’t relate to the Major Arcana. Each deck has itw own Court Cards. | |
