SciFi and Fantasy Art Witch-Hunter Johan Gideon by Jani Jinxter Mutikainen

In portrait is legendary witch-hunter Johan Gideon who single handedly got rid of hundreds of witches (or suspected witches). He also fought all sorts of unholy creautures like vampires, werewolves, demons etc. As an old man Johan trained a group of young people to continue his work. Ironic thing is that he is using almost same white magic as witches are - difference is that his magic is approved by church. Even his flintlock gun has religious relics implanted in it.

Background photo is taken by me. It is Hämeenlinna (castle in city of Hämeenlinna, linna means castle in finnish) and taken at Medieval Fair held there in 2004.

Jani Jinxter Mutikainen replies: "So it is obvious that dagger and gun were my maint interests as I did this drawing I have this really cool toygun that posed as model for the gun in picture. Well ... witchy-poos are being hunted because they have these ungodly powers Okay, I admit that people were killed as witches for very wrong reasons in dark-ages and I think it is an ugly stain in europe's history."
