Jared lives in a world of little people where it rains roses.

If you were stranded on an island and a blue spotted rabbit with wings that didn't work gave you the choice of two fruits to eat, one a purple apple that would make you twice your size or the second a red banana that would shrink you to half your size... which would you choose? If you truly are stranded then you'll be getting hungry and being half the size means all the food becomes twice as big and lasts twice as long... but then you're twice as vulnerable. Being big means the land you own shrunk but you have twice the power. See, I would just hit the rabbit on the head with the apple and eat him for lunch and try both fruits at my own convenience later. These are questions I ask myself from time to time. I use art as my medium to ask them in unusual ways. In thinking and pondering something like what fruit would you eat, you can create an entire world of things outside of the ordinary (that's the best art). All this to say I'm weird and I like my art to be weird cause it's just no fun to be stranded here on this island being the same size as everyone else. I like water colors cause I can do them fast and spontaneous. I've drawn since I was 4 and asked these island questions for just as long. I have a fine arts degree in illustration from Boise State. Yes I know the degree means nothing. Well that's about it. I'm a graduated guy who draws for kicks and giggles about things that make him go 'hmmm...' and other's go 'what the he...' More deapth than I expected and the colors draw me in, though I really don't know what I am talking about. Do you wanna illustrate my picture book about the cabin at McCall? I almost sent it to the publisher yesterday, but thought I would ask you one more time.

14 Dec 2005	Catherine 'Irikchitine' Johnson	Loading... I'm very impressed at your skill with watercolors. They're a very tricky medium to use, but it looks so perfect in all your pictures. You've got an intriguing style, one that makes me want to keep looking at your pictures because they don't get boring. Nice use of other colors in your shading, too. I'm most impressed by your white dragon painting, because i personally think it's hardest to do watercolor shading for white objects without making it look cartoony. Anyway. Do the world a favor and don't ever stop painting.
