Maybe cause there aren't any breasts to stare at and they got disappointed. For a first attempt, copic markers work great for you. I'm gonna get me some of those. Great work, really like his swords and rap thing around his waist.

I don't know if you remember that animated series back in the 1980's called the Thundercats, but this picture reminds me of the character called Jackel-Man. In fact, the garments and battle gear very closely matches some of the same things worn by Jackel-Man in the series. Particularly the spiked shoulder shield. It's practically a dead ringer. I'm not saying that you copied the character, but you might want to check it out. The similarities are strikingly close, even if it's only coincidence.
