After hours of study, the apprentice wizard, believing he has failed at casting his light spell, lays his head down to weap.   He didn't know that there would be any delay in the spell taking effect

Very nice idea for a scenario and the wizard in the doorway is a fun detail. The perspective looks a bit off though. To my eyes it looks like a small hole in the wall and a tiny wizard. Bit hard to explain. Has to do with the angle of the linework on the walls. I still appreciate that it’s a slightly curved perspective and not just straight lines made with a ruler.
