SciFi and Fantasy Art Silver, plugged in by Jenny Olivera

That hair is going to be the death of me, or at least of my sanity. They're going to find me in my room, rocking back and forth clutching a black marker, muttering about metallic hair.

Anyway, Silver, hooked up to the main computer in the lab where he grew up - and unable to move. Poor kid. This picture presented me with a number of problems aside from the aforementioned hair:

1. This is the first time I've drawn Silver without a shirt. I'm not all that comfortable with male anatomy, especially not with making someone look well-built and still believably 13 years old. This also meant I had to deal with his scars - which are sort of randomly placed right now. I'm not sure exactly where they'd be.

2. Markers. I'm still relativly new to markers and have a limited range of colors. I didn't have the right colors for the darker shadows. I do like how his skin turned out, though.

3. No lines. I taped the marker paper over the linework and colored it without outlining first. Never done that before. A light box would have helped.

It lost some of the detail that's in the linework, and I'm probably going to do another vertion on the computer to get it closer to how I picture the scene. But still, it didn't come out too bad, and I'm relatively happy with it.
