''He was an odd kid, with ragged silver hair and silver-grey eyes, and he always looked at you like he was expecting you to double-cross him. That last, though, can happen to anyone who spends too much time on the streets. He didn't talk much, and made it pretty clear to everyone that he wanted to be left alone. He also never gave a name, which isn't unusual for the kids who come here, and pretty soon everyone started calling him Silver.''
From Silver: Part 1

The main character from the scifi novel in my Wyvern's library, whom you'll see repeated many times in this gallery. My only complaint about this picture is that he's doesn't look pale enough, but the lighter pastel I had was a bit too yellow. Pastel on black velour paper.

you know, i don't like this one as well as the sketch; it's a little too dark. but your description of him at the top makes me want to skedaddle over to your library shelf and take a peek. You have talent!

:-) Jenny Olivera replies: "Yes! Go read story! Comment on story! Story is lonely!Anyway, it's supposed to be dark, since it's supposed to be nighttime, and it fits the mood of the story and the character. But yeah, it is quite dark."

You might try adding a few red hot embers in the cigarett...I know {I've never smoked, just seen people who smoke!} that that only happens when they inhale, but I think it'd add too the mood.

:-) Jenny Olivera replies: "Realism... mood... realism... mood... Ah, I think realism wins out this time. Thanks for the suggestion, though."

Isn't this the one from the top of the story? This fits the mood really well - the whole story is kinda half in shadow.

:-) Jenny Olivera replies: "That's an interesting way to put it; I never thought of it that way, but the story is kinda "half in shadow," isn't it? This is the full-size version of the pic at the top of Part 1, yes."

I feel like Silver is staring right through me...I love the story and wish you would send it entirely to me...Id love to read it from begning to end...*is mesmerized* oh good lord...what would Red say if he saw me flaunting over another color crew...well not another color crew but someone who could join the crew and he isnt even Real! buh gotta go the Beast is yelling...LOVE IT ALL (thats a major comment coming from someone normally emtionless and detached as Red >_<)

:-) Jenny Olivera replies: "Thanks. I hesitate to send it out in file form, though, especially when it's so readily available on the web (in two places, even). You could still read it though begining to "end" there!"

Cigaret is not good! just a joke ! I love so mush is eyes! He look like... really relax. I don't no who is Silver but whit the description, I imagine the personage like that.

1 Jenny Olivera replies: "Well, I don't know if I'd really call him "relaxed," but... calm maybe."
