He shows what Silver probably once was and should be more like in an ideal world. Nice stuff! I like the expression. It communicates a lot. His character has gone beyond that, but I still can't really claim he was deliberate . As for Silver, he envies Jimmy, because he (Silver) never had a mother, nor was allowed a childhood.
