	Both done from the same sketch of Maple (one of the first I did of her, actually). I did the cell-style first, sometime around April (and with a mouse >_<), and I did the soft style recently (with my Wacom ^_^). I just thought the difference was interesting. I think I like the soft style better, but I like cell style as well.

11 Jan 2002	Marius Ernst	Loading... I like the left one (soft style? I don't much a bout drawing ) better. To me it looks like the emotion on her face is stronger on the left version. Perhaps it is because the colors are a bit darker, or because there is more shading.
30 Jan 2002	Victoria Kuzma	Loading... Well, looks like we all like the soft style better. The cel style makes her look a little old, or tense.It does, doesn't it? I didn't really know what I was doing when I did the cell style, as it was one of my first.
6 Mar 2002	Keetsie Joy	Loading... votes for soft style It just seems to fit her more. Beautiful job with the shadows and highlights there. The cell shaded one is also beautiful, though. Maybe she wouldn't look as strained if you took out some of the long, thin shadows in that one. The character drawing is adorable in both styles, though. You've got her personality down.
