Up until this point in my long time as a fantasy artist I had somehow gotten away with never having drawn a Griffin/Gryphon. A friend pointed that out, so I did her a doodle. I was still not very sure about feathers when I made this (2009).

Great job on the pose, the ’stilled movement’ and general composition. A possible simple background could be a cliff ledge somewhere really high up.
