| 4 Apr 2003 | Janne Joensuu | Loading...It's a good one, almost as good as she must be to hit a target even if shooting from half-run... Only thing that could be called a 'fault' are the sparkles of light. I think this would look better without them. John M. O'Connor replies: "Glad you like it! As for the sparklies, this was done shortly after I figured out a technique for doing them, and I was going a little nuts with them..." | |
| 5 Apr 2003 | Aleya aleya@sez...cz> | Loading...Hey!!! My nickname is Aleya too, I use if for two years and I hadn´t hear it before the moment it came to my mind! Wow! The pic is quite good, but I think I´m prettier ;-). John M. O'Connor replies: "Hehe, thanks, I'm sure you are..." | |

| 16 Sep 2003 | Galit Manor | Loading...Great pic! I love the movement and her pose. did you use some sort of model for her? she is very good. John M. O'Connor replies: "Nope, I didn't use a model on the pose. But lately I have been trying to use more reference and it does help a lot." | |
| 17 Sep 2003 | Gelfin | Loading...Only one gripe, the quiver is gonna be hell to reach, considering that she'll have to switch the bow to her other hand before aquiring another arrow, what a shame that she'll die before she can even take an epic level. Great movement and colour, keep it up. John M. O'Connor replies: "Yeah, yeah, looking at it a couple of years later I do see a lot of problems with it. But I still dig it." | |
| 10 Mar 2006 | Jason D. Allard | Loading...She wouldn't need to switch hands with her bow. Just cross-draw the arrows like she would her sword... It might hinder her drawing the sword though.
The quiver would be in the way of shooting from a normal stance though. At least my hip quiver did when I wore it on my left.
I was happy to see you didn't make the mistake of which side of the bow the arrow goes on. Almost everyone gets that wrong. Overall, a very well done picture. I wish I could draw half as well as you. | |
