Wow, I love photography. It's my dream to be a photographer.Anyway, You have such wonderful pieces in your gallery. Ecspecially the ones with your niece, she is very sweet. I like your style. It isn't typical, and you can tell that it is completely your own.

:-) Jodi K. Shaffner replies: "Thank you Jennifer. I enjoyed your gallery also, though I didn't comment much. It is early in the morning and I am not fully functioning yet. Have you had any photography classes yet? It is my love. There was a photo montage for a mod a couple of days ago and his gallery was amazing."

Hello again. Thanks for the comment on my page. Made my day. I'll be posting the next section of that chapter as soon as the ticket lock expires (Friday). Just for you I might go ahead and post chapter 8 as well 2 Couldn't have an art student having to buy books, now, could we?

I'll get the pics of my hubby scanned. He's a great model. I had a web page at the time where I sold cloaks, and he was modeling for me. I never did upload the pics, because I got tired of sewing and moved on to other hobbies. They're great pics anyway, at least they would be if you got a hold of them. Oooh... then I could print them out and hang them on the walls and not have to buy art 2

:-) Jodi K. Shaffner replies: "Thanks Alix. I'll see what I can do when I get them."

Hi Jodi! Stopping by to let you know I have my page quasi-updated; part of a chapter with the next coming soon.

It's fun to visit your page again, so many pretty things... If you need any weird photos to manipulate, I have some you could do some cool stuff with. I dressed my husband like a wizard one day and had him "cast a spell" on a gargoyle lawn ornament (really, I had a good reason for doing this). Anyway, the pic would be pretty cool if it had a skilled manipulator to add some actual magic. Let me know if you'd like to have it and I'll try to find it scan it and send.

:-) Jodi K. Shaffner replies: "Hi Alix! I delayed answering this to run off and read your update. I would love to try to manipulate some of your photos. I would love to know the reason behind the photo as well."

Wow. I really like your photo techniques and your art is wonderful as well. Myself, I began my art career a little earlier (considering I'm still only 16), but you needn't think that starting later will hinder you in any way. I think you have made a lot of progress for only 11 months!

Also, I just have to say that my birthday is June 12 as well! Isn't that weird?

:-) Jodi K. Shaffner replies: "Thanks for the encouagement Wayne. My photography I have been doing since before you were born then and photo manips since 1998. The drawing I am getting better at, but I still have a hard time making myself draw. I get frustrated that it doesn't come out like I pictured in my mind. I use photo references, mine usually, a lot. I ordered poser hoping it will help me set the scene, then I can draw using it as a reference.Yea for June 12 birthdays! You were born when I was 16, and that was a good birthday. Wish I could have some more like that. Enjoy your youth my friend and thanks for visiting."

Hi Jodi. I have updates if you want to stop by. Also wondering if you ever did get that pic I tried to send you. If not, we could possibly try messenger sometime. I've successfully used it to transfer some really big files.

:-) Jodi K. Shaffner replies: "Hi Alix! Yea! Updates! I received another email, but no photo or link. I do have msn messenger, email me your messenger name and let me know when you are usually on."

Hi Jodi! I have some more updates to my work in progress. Almost decided not to bother posting but I did just for you 2

:-) Jodi K. Shaffner replies: "For me?? I am honored. I would still love to try manipulating your photos if we can figure out how to get them to my computer."

Hi Jodi! I have updates 2 I see you do too. Very nice as always, most enchanting. I will try once more to send you some manipulation material as I would so dearly love to see my husband as a mage 2 You have such skill with your manipulations!

Greetings to you... Just a quick few lines to encourage a fellow Christian and artist (and one also living in the beautiful American southwest as well!) Though I have been doing my art since I was a child there was a time I was no better at it than others of my age. I was not born an "artist" (at least not a graphic artist) but became one through practice and perserverance. So be encouraged and keep at it. I wish you much success and all happiness and fulfilment in your walk, your family and your creative endevores... may God Bless you, C
