What makes you so sure she died at all? maybe she became fused to Lavos, and had to rescued by 3 out of at least 43 people (not sure about numbers, there...) in an amazing (depending on the eye of the beholder...) adventure spanning two parallel realities in an RPG for Playstation?
If such a game exists, they'd probably call it Chrono Cross or something like that...
