One day Steve "Werepenguin'' Cauley from  http://www.elfwood.com/art/v/e/vessel/vessel.html visited my page, so I returned the favor. His art is mostly penguins, little did I know that one of them would bite me.  Here he is, Rocky the Singing Penguin.

When looking for reference pictures, I found this great one where the camera is looking up at the penguin.  And in case you're wondering, his buddy in the background is the bassist.

''Gonna hitch a ride, head for the other side.  Leave it all behind, never change my mind.  Gonna sail away, sun lights another day, freedom on my mind.  Carry me away for the last time.  Oh yeah life is like the coldest winter, people freeze the tears I cry.  Words of hail their minds are into, I've got to crack this ice and fly . . . .''

Love this!!!! how funny

:-) John R Farley Jr replies: "Thanks, Chelsea. Perhaps you’d like to do a duet with him. You don’t have to sing well, but I would guess that you can sing better than a penguin anyway. "

You haven’t heard me sing. One time we sang "happy birthday" and we scared the doves away.21

:-) John R Farley Jr replies: "I can beat that. Ever hear cats fighting at night? That’s what I sound like. Yeah, that’s why I don’t try to sing anymore.

"Whaaaa!" "Shaddap out there! stupid cats!" 1"

LOL

:-) John R Farley Jr replies: "Ah, so you agree. But then if it comes to singing, I am happy to refuse. And others are happy I refused. 2"

I think my brother is one of the worst singers in the world . . . And he things he good. Blooding ears doesn’t even cover how bad he is. He needs to learn to refused. He sings to songs that don’t even have words.

:-) John R Farley Jr replies: "Kind of like Bill Murray putting words to the Star Wars theme? 18

Maybe your brother should go on American Idol. He might even get through. "

He’s not singing words. He’s sings the interments songs. Not humming. It’s really bad.

Me and my mother told him to go on it so he could learn how horrible he is.

:-) John R Farley Jr replies: "So it’s not singing, it’s what we call, "caterwauling." Otherwise known as cats fighting. 1"

that is awsome! he looks great, you did a really good job on the shape if your penguins! and you made there insterments great!

:-) John R Farley Jr replies: "Thanks, Kaylee. My interest in music performance has influences my art for a long time. If I didn’t draw, I’d probably be a so-so guitar player but enjoying every minute of it. "

I recently read a book about a huge starship called Rockhopper, and it had a gigantic penguin painted on the hull... coincidence?

:-) John R Farley Jr replies: "Yes it is. I had never heard of either ship or story. I did a Google search and the only thing I came up with, is some video game with a red pirate penguin in it. Sounds interesting, though. Anything with a huge starship always piques my interest. 12 "

its just as random as platypuses......or tanks

:-) John R Farley Jr replies: "That’s my way of doing things. Faerys, then a big ship or weapon. Then a guitar-playing penguin. 18"

I cant help but wonder what that song would sound like?

:-) John R Farley Jr replies: "It would probably sound like a penguin trying to sing a classic rock song. 18 But he would still play a good guitar riff. "

Ahaa, he would get along with my space-sax panda bear.

Very nice.

:-) John R Farley Jr replies: "Yes, they would! Both are hep-cats playing the hot licks for the cool cats. 18

Thanks for coming, I just saw and commented on your Space Sax Panda. "
