| 20 Jul 2004 | Joanna "nerulean" Piancastelli | Loading...Actually, my rats used to sit with their tails just like that, sort of rigid and out from the body. I think it must be a balance thing. This is a really lovely picture. Jolinda tP replies: "Thank you Joanna! Rats use their tails for balance. Most people are afraid of the tail, they say: 'your rat is sooo cute, too bad that is has a tail!' ^_^" | |
| 20 Jul 2004 | Sara Pålsson | Loading...I'm sorry for your lost... The rat is very cute with the wings and so! The dream catcher is also good. I don't know anything about rat anatomy but I think the tail looks stiff. It would be even better if you tried to use more shading in this one. Jolinda tP replies: "Thank you for your nice comment Sara! The tail is supposed to be stiff, rats have very stiff tails.. I agree that it could have been better with more shading. " | |
| 22 Jul 2004 | Bridgette Anne French | Loading...It looks like my two rats! Its face is a little wide, but its tail is natural. I really like this picture! Jolinda tP replies: "Thank you I saw a rat in your gallery too --> * another rat-loving elfwood-artist ^_^ * whiiii Maybe there should be some kind of rat-tour in Elfwood, lol " | |
| 3 Aug 2004 | Katharina Prinz | Loading...I am not too fond of winged things (apart from dragons, birds and bats), but the rat is really lovely. I like the colours, they add a soft touch to the picture. Beautiful!!! Jolinda tP replies: "Thank you Katharina. I'm glad you like it " | |
| 9 Aug 2004 | Julie Raymond | Loading...Very pretty, and I love the idea. That is a very cute rat! Thanks for commenting on my rat picture and taking my tour. Jolinda tP replies: "And thank you for making the tour! I really enjoyed it ^_^ I'm glad you like this picture! Thanks for visiting!" | |
| 27 Jan 2005 | Wendi Kidwell | Loading...Uh...RatDove? (Like a TurtleDove only more cuddly!) I think that would be a good name for it. Cute. Nice detail on the wings. The dreamcatcher reminds me of something from a movie I saw called "Lemoney Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events" except more cute and loving. It looks like the eye in his tower where an evil man named Count Olaf thought up evil plans to get his greedy grmy hands on the Baudilaire fortune and ending their lives once he does. But this is much more loving. Maybe I should use it for one of my stories on the continuing adventures of the baudilaire chilren and, unfotrunalty, Olaf and an all new gaurdian who loves rats and birds...AKA Jondila te Pas! E-mail me back if you would want to read it but it IS violent so be warned! Jolinda tP replies: "Jondila? ^_^ Thanks for your comment Wendi! And yes, I'm curious about your writings.. " | |
| 10 Apr 2005 | Nicole | Loading...Hm...Where you tring to make the knots in the dreamcatcher look like ppl? It does..But it isnt the way you knot real dreamcatchers. Drawing them is sort of like making them in reverse. You draw triangles around the hole in the center, and then triangles in between those triangles and so on. At least thats how i do it. But mabye im doing it wrong....The rat is adorible btw. I always put feathers on my dreamcatchers, but i dont know if they are nesscessary...You should learn to meake dreamcatchers. Its really fun and ppl like to get them as gifts.... Jolinda tP replies: "Yes I was trying to be creative and made them look like people.. I usually put feathers in them too. This drawing actually HAS feathers, though they are not shown in this smaller version.. Making dreamcatchers is another one of my hobbies actually.. If you'd like to see some of them; go to http://members.home.nl/aotn/dr1.JPG or to http://members.home.nl/aotn/dr2.JPG" | |
