"Everything but love" by Jon ´Lord Fnar´ Stevens

This is a tale of a king, a king of far and distant lands.

Who holds regent of a small town, across the far and distant sands.

One day, from out of his treasury, he spied a flying dove.

And he knew he had everything.

Everything but love.

One day he met a lady who was all he could ask for.

She was beautiful, intelligent, and helped him out in war.

By some strange twist of horrid fate, she had to move away.

And, of course, as King, this unnamed emporer was forced to stay.

He thought he was forever cursed, and now blamed God above.

For he had felt now everything.

But still he hadn't love.

He was now faced with a choice, for her or for his land.

He was faced with the choice of life, lest all be buried in the sand.

He made the choice to come with her, and give up his palace.

All his gold, his silver, jewels, could not buy love, nor could a chalice.

He now had given up his life, but he thanked god above.

For he'd given up everything.

Everything but love.
