A turtle with claws is usually a tortoise Jon A. Schjelderup replies: "Thanks. The whole thing with the sea constantly falling off the edge is explained in one of the books, actually. Can’t remember which one, though... It is magically recycled, I seem to remember. Well, it’s not a tortoise any more. (Didn’t know that, but come to think of it, the model was called "tortoise-something"... )"

It looks exactly like one of the Giant Turtles from either the Galapagos islands, or Aldabra. I know, because I work with them Either way, it looks very real, even if it’s not the correct kind of turtle But hey, do the books even say that it is a SEA-turtle, and not just "the Great A’tuin"? (I know it would seem logical, seeing as it’s swimming the galaxy...) Tumbs up!! Jon A. Schjelderup replies: "Thanks for the kind words. Let me just say that I know next to nothing about turtles. I was going for something that looked like one of the other illustrations I had seen of Great A’Tuin, and that was about it. It could be argued that a World Turtle is a species unknown to us. And I must say I’m convinced of your knowledge: The model I based this on, is actually a Galapagos tortoise (http://www.daz3d.com/i/3d-models/-/galapagos-tortoise?item=4- 587&_m=d)
It must be neat to work with turtles. "
