  | Done for an art collection at deviantArt, the theme was renewal. My take on it was that the child, struggling to survive in some future dystopia, disillusioned and barely living, is having her sense of wonder renewed by finding a living rose. This is partly inspired by Stephen King's Dark Tower series, as I'm sure is pretty clear to anyone who've read it. :)
