My favorite half merman smoked a pipe and has a laugh.  I want to ink this one but I'm so scared!  it came out so great XD

I understand you hesitate to ink it but according to what I've seen of your work so far, I'm sure it will look strong and clean. And perhaps his facial expression (which I like very much)would be even more accentuated.

I think to save the image I'll ink it with a light table. Most of my stuff is inked that way. it means I can ink and tone it without ruining the original."

Why don't you try tracing it on another sheet of paper with ink. you keep your pencil lines and if you dont like the inked version it isnt permanent. it works...most of the time.
