I think I'll use this one for a cover of one of my comic issues. It's a copy of the Temperance tarot card, but I redesigned it and replaced Michael the archangel for Temperance. Neat huh?

This is Great! It's like an old painting but all done with line werk. I like how you've done the clothing. So many lines!

The figure itself is very impressive, I love how you use varying line widths to make it interesting and whatnot, the only complaint I have is the crosshatching on the mountains, it makes them look too close to her, like the details are too.... um... general I guess. Too big. You know. If you made the crosshatching a little darker or closer together it would look much better, or even if you scrapped crosshatching and used pointelism or something... something that would make the valleys and shadows in the mountains look more... mountenous. Otherwise, I love it. You're latest pictures with pen have been fantastisch.

:-) Devon Jopling replies: "agreed, if I do use this as a cover, there'll be a lot of changes, another misfortune of the mountains is I crosshatched too much in a single direction, if you flip the picture, you can see a definite tilt with realy ruins the pic. I might paint it, that would solve the problem ^_^"

Oh wow, this is cool. Very nice clean lines!

Wow! The details are really deceptively simple, but they must have taken a quarter of eternity. I'm impressed! (Not a difficult feat for you to accomplish). Could I pretty please try coloring it? I promise I'll do better than that first time ::cringes::. I agree about the mountains, but if they are close, that puts the figure on a HUGE scale. Not a bad thing at all, in my way of thinking.

:-) Devon Jopling replies: "yes! color it! I insist! 2"

Could you send me a copy of it scanned at about 300 dpi in b/w ? That would make it alot easier. Thanks, Devon!

Wow, this is amazing, and replacing it with Michael, whom I'm named after, means alot. Beautiful!

:-) Devon Jopling replies: "Thank you. I thinking to re-draw this image... the comic is was made for has long since died and curled itself into the bottom of my art pile of rejected art. But this piece came out so lovely."
