Personally I think it has 1 good and 1 bad side: the good one is that it adds more contrast. The bad side is that is looks to much pasted in. What program do you use to cut it out? Concerning to the black background - For my taste it looks better with the black background because it looks less than just a painting ON (WHITE) PAPER - with the dark background the attention is turned to the char himself... but you may be right that it looks a bit "pasted in". But it's ok I think... Which program I use? Well I used the "Microsoft Picture It!" Program. Originally I had the version 9 of it. But because of PC-problems now I have the version 10 and the guys from MS changed a few things to the bad so I didn't do any new pictures for a long time. I really miss it.
