| 31 May 2001 | Robert D. Stanley | I loved your stories, especially the courageous commander one. I look forward to reading more of your work and will be checking out your e-book very soon. | |
| 28 Nov 2001 | Milady | I think the real moral of the story is that kids should do what their mothers tell them to do because great things happen when they obey. Jessica Menn replies: "I like that moral. It's sooo true. And, you're the mom so you would know " | |
| 15 Jul 2003 | Scyllahealer | I bookmarked your page so I could find my way back here long after this issue of Woodworks has given over to the new. ^_^ Lovely work...I'm so very glad I found you...and I'll be back to read again! | |
| 13 Feb 2004 | Jared S. Downing | You have a unique style and a great wit. Your descriptions flow freely and your imagery is excellent. You could allude a bit more to the future, but I was hooked none-the-less. If you could give me a critique, I would be most appreciative! Great work! Jessica Menn replies: "Thank you *very much*. I'm flattered you'd ask me for a critique, and I'll be sure to check out you gallery. I am very curious: what exactly do you mean by "allude a bit more to the future"? Do you want me to tell more about what happens to my various characters after the events of the various stories they're in, or do you mean something entirely different by your words? I'm intrigued by your criticism, and I'd very much like to know exactly what you mean." | |

| 12 Sep 2005 | Keith D. Brooks Jr. | Hi. I read your bio and the part about why you were using a pen name and I just had to comment. When I have always wanted to write every since I was 11 and I found out I had a little talent; at least that's what my teachers told me. What I wanted to write, was fantasy. There was one problem though: My father. You see, he was (and still is) a Baptist (fire and brimstone) preacher. That's right, I'm a P.K. He thought anything having to do with fantasy was the 'Devil's Work' and in his house growing up, his rule was law. So, I wrote when I could ... in secrecy. As the years went by animosity turned to stubborn pride and by the time I turned 18 I was in such a hurry to leave that I joined the Air Force. Needless to say the military kept me busy (what with Desert Storm and all) and I didn't write; though my dreams begged me to put them down on paper. Long story short ... I am now out of the military, 35 years old and am talking to my dad again; with one difference: I am determined to get published! Never be ashamed of who you are, I understand--and never let your dreams go by for so long like I did. I didn't mean to ramble on, but your story touched something in me. I wish you all the luck in the world. Off to read your prose ... | |
| 18 Dec 2005 | Anonymously Unknown <draco_flamburster@yah...co | hey jessica your Kiss series you will make a sequal right??????? | |
| 3 Sep 2006 | reefpip | Shortly after reading ToP, I decided to send you a note. Then I changed my mind and didn't bother. Then, the voodoo curse which you apparently placed upon your story attacked my computer. Now my mouse won't work properly and my file menus refuse to work. So, I'm commenting now. ToP is an excellent story. Please lift your curse! Actually, this comment is a result of me backtracking to when my computer stopped working, then deciding that maybe a comment would be nice. Alas, I have very little to say other than that the story was enjoyable, which is why I didn't originally comment. :: hrug::: Jessica Menn replies: "Thank you for the comment. I don't care about the length; I'm always happy to get feedback, even if it's nothing more than "I liked your story". I have now removed any voodoo that *I* placed on your computer. I can't speak for any curses other people have placed on in however." | |
| 11 Jun 2007 | Vici L. Mahone | Finish Tapestry of Power! It's AWESOME!! Could you come give me tips on writing? Jessica Menn replies: "Tapestry of Power actually is already finished. I mentioned that in the little story description. But, it's easy to miss. The book is 30 chapters long, and I posted it here in Elfwood before the story limit per gallery was raised to 50. So, I didn't have room to post the entire book, and now, eventhough the limit has been raised, I just never bothered to post the rest. However, the entire book is posted at my website. You can read it here. You can either read it online or download an RTF file of it. I hope you enjoy it, and thank you for taking the time to comment. " | |
