Of course, I've read your prologue for 'The Guardians' and I still love it! The writing is good, the only thing I would change is the number of proper 'made-up' nouns in the very first paragraph. Too many invented fantasy concepts can go overboard, if you know what I mean. ;-)
Love your other prologue. Only thing I can say there is to watch out for 'Star Trek' steals. And explain why all the CareTakers are women, that sounds a little shady to me. Love the word 'Decline' whe capitalized, don't know why. ^_^;;

Ayla I don't think I'll have to really worry about the 'Star Trek' steals, but I'll watch for 'em. And the Caretakers aren't all women, just the ones sent off into extra-solar space. The males are extremely violent and territorial, and were kept in-system for reasons that'll be explained.
