I decided that I wanted to illustrate a scene from my book-in-progress. Randy (on the right)is an investigator for the DMC (Department of Magical Creatures) and is also a werewolf. Willem (on the left) is a vampire and the prime suspect in a murder that Randy is investigating. It's essentially two-way threatening going on.

I don't know why, but the one on the right reminds me of Gueston from Beauty and the Beast (Disney Version).

I like it, I like the feeling,if you're taking my meaning..

Aren`t they both sexy! But I like Randy more - I love guys with black hair, yellow eyes and pointy teeth are welcome too, and the proportions of his face are beautiful. And I also love the names Rand and Randy. Soo... could you ask him if he would like to go out on a date with Foxy Jenny, a werefox with red hair and cute face in her human form? XP~~ ;}
Just one thing bothers me about this picture - if they`re threatening each other, mustn`t be the atmosphere of the picture a bit heavier and not... pink? Cause at first sight before I read the description, I thought they were friends arguing over something.

:-) Jenn Osiecki replies: "You're totally right about that part of it. It can be fixed, so I probably will. Thanks for the insight on it!"

The characters do have a disney style about them which is actually very cool because those are professional animation artists and despite my lack of interest in disney they are very talented and this is a showing of equal talent. I'm also liking how this is sort of a comparison of good and evil. On one side you have the were wolf. While not all were wolves are viewed as good, this one is and he's determined to fight evil. The vampire, an embodiment of evil most of the times, is a perfect contrast. Both feature facial expressions to further add to their alignment, the were wolf has a some what jovial pride while the vampire has a sneer and an ill disposition.

I absolutely love pictures like this. Well drawn expressions make me all warm and fuzzy inside ^.^ While some face-offs are stiff, this has an element of movement I adore. Your style touches my heart.

Hello! Really cool picture you've got here! I especially like the menacing, slightly arrogant expression on the vampire's face. That is him, on the right, isn't it? Anyway...have you ever read The Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop? Lovely, lovely series! The guy on the right REALLY reminds me of one of the characters, Daemon Sadi. Kudos for the excellent work! ^.^

:-) Jenn Osiecki replies: "No, I haven't, but I may just need to look into that. Thanks for the recommendation!"

Great expressions as always (feels like a parrot repeating that all the time10) anyway i love how you put "action" into the pictures, It really feels alive and like stuff is going on at that moment. I love the kinda "growl" randy has, and the more arrogant expression on Willem. Great stuff
