SciFi and Fantasy Art Tattered Wings by Jenn Osiecki

I drew this one at work. Who says all fairies have to be skinny young things? I drew this after going to a butterfly house and seeing the wings of some of the older butterflies. Perhaps this fairy has been through a lot in her long life. My mom says that she reminds her of her mother who passed away about a year and a half ago. It doesn't look like her at all, but it does somewhat remind me of her - I think it's her exhuberence. Regardless, it's dedicated to my Nonna, who was living proof that age is just a number and that beauty is far from limited to the young.
