SciFi and Fantasy Art Eyrin by John P. Chandler

This is the portrait I did of Eyrin Fontramonn of Voldar. He is one of Christian Strobl's main heroes and can be read about at the Santharian Dream website (http://welcome.to/santharia). Santharia is dedicated to undetaking the creation of a Tolkien-like world on the web. He invites those who are interested in this type of fantasy to join him in his endevour. Here's the description Christian gave me: As Eyrin is the main character he'll change during his adventures. So at the beginning he's not much of a warrior or wizard, he's just a normal guy, not more than 20 years old at the beginning, brown shoulder long hair, well shaved, dark mysterious eyes but of course quite handsome as a hero to come needs to be. There's one special thing on his face: He once was struck by an arrow on his right cheek, so this'll add a bit of heroism to his appearance - but this doesn't make him ugly, only... interesting. To give him a bit more of innocence maybe it would be a good idea to draw him with his mouth a bit open, slightly laughing (but not too much). As for his clothing: He's the Vardynnian courier, so I'd suggest he's wearing a light cape (hope that's the right word) - I mean a cloth which only hangs down your back. The cape is held together with the sign of Vardýnn (Voldar as capital of this province): a circle with a flying eagle in the center of it, the ring is burning. The rest of his clothing is rather usual, nothing spectacular (no chain mail or something similar).

7 Dec 1999	KF	Loading... "I would expect the Enemy to look more fair, and feel more foul" We tend to want all our heros to be golden boys (or girls). I guess that's one of the things I loved about the movie "Willow" - he certainly didn't fit the stereotype for a would-be hero. Nor did Frodo. In building characters, I've often been as guilty as the rest in this.
5 Jan 2000	Jeff	Loading... This picture is great. May I use it in my web site, I just want to put it in their so I can use it for a picture for my RPG character for D&D. Again, I absolutly love the picture. Awesome job!
4 Feb 2000	Lyndell Stout	Loading... This is an outstanding drawing. The character has no obvious anatomical inconsistencies and his garment is intricately detailed. The shading is a bit light for my own taste but its damn perfect regardless. Outstanding!!!!

18 Feb 2001	Leonardo	Loading... some case similar hapend for mi i have create a warior that goes for the name of ERICK NEISHA VOLDAR but i was most interest on were did you get this name becouse what i learn by mi invetigation this name have the translation of "that who return" if someone can help me i like to contac youi dont want to esteal yuor idea i only cuorius for the name that all sorry for the gramatics taht becouse i speak spanhys and i tink yuor drawing is marvelous keep the good work if is posible i want to contacme thank.
