SciFi and Fantasy Art Broken Angel by Jenny Rowland

I pencilled and inked this while EXTREMELY depressed. Colored it in PSP (and did the hair in OpenCanvas) the next day, even though I was feeling a bit better by then.

I think she tripped and fell off the cloud. And in the process of falling, or perhaps landing, she had most of her wings ripped off. She's either landed in an alley in the bad part of town, or in a dungeon. Either way, she's passed into what is, for her, just about the antechamber to Hell. And how can she get back without her wings?

There's a character in there who was once a flying elf, but she was caught by a circus and kept in a cage until her wings atrophied and had to be cut off. This pic reminded me of her. Very moving. cheese Jenny Rowland replies: "Name anything, I probably haven't played it... but poor formerly-flying-elfie, that doesn't sound like it would've been much fun at ALL. Mmm, cheese."
11 May 2003	Christina	Loading... I love this drawing. It's exactly what I was looking for. I wrote a poem called "Broken Angel" and it talks about everything you described in the picture! I love it!
