Lutes' strings are numbered in 'courses', and the number of strings in each course = number of the course - 1. For example, a 4-course lute will have 4*2 - 1 strings, that is, seven strings. I'm not sure what course is the minimium, but whatever, every lute has an odd number of strings. Just thought you should know. | |
