This is a drawing commissioned by Cindy Rosenthal, (look for her writing in Wyvern's Library) who liked the guy playing the flute in the Dryad picture. The scan is cropped a bit from the original to work with Elfwood's size restrictions - I would have cropped it more to show more detail, but I wanted to get his feet in there. What do you think? Do they look okay? I think feet are one of the hardest body parts to draw.

6-99, mechanical pencil, graduated pencil, 11x14 drawing paper

In the much overused word of Neo: "Whoa"
Great composition, looks great, even with the cropping. It gives a very happy/peaceful feeling, beautiful background beautiful character - how is it that you aren't making scads of money on this stuff? Make prints of a few, sell them for megabucks, dude, there is so much potential!!!!!!!

Is it just me or are his ears pointed. Most likely just me. Very cool!

The drawing of the feet looks right but they could be a bit longer. Compare to length of head. Otherwise I love Him. Good job.

I love it. Feet are hard for me to draw too, but I think hands are the hardest. I've noticed that I hide my character's hands most of the time.

Nice drawing, I love your pencil work. Now I feel inadequate, Guess I'll have to keep on working at it. His feet look okay, but I think they are a bit to small, especially for a man. Other than that good work.

God Bless
John

Sorry, I wrote the formula wrong. That's 'Number of strings = 2(Number of course)-1'

Oh no, I knew I shouldn't have looked at it a second time. Problemo! His lute has six strings. Lutes' strings are numbered in 'courses', and the number of strings in each course = number of the course - 1. For example, a 4-course lute will have 4*2 - 1 strings, that is, seven strings. I'm not sure what course is the minimium, but whatever, every lute has an odd number of strings. Just thought you should know.

Love this, love this, love this, love this, love this!
This is the first picture in a long time in which I haven't found anything to complain about! Words fail!

This picture is so amazing, you are quite an amazing artist. I hate to rip art off but I use this as the picture for my role playing character (A bard). Because when I look at this picture it sums him up so well. Thank you for drawing such a beautiful piece of art.
