Adria is my character in a roleplaying game. Formerly Lady Adria del Quintin, she is now (and was during the timeframe of this sketch) Lady Adria del Cartach. So, you might ask, what is a noblewoman doing working as a common barmaid?

Long story. Adria married one of the other characters for what she thought were very good reasons before she actually considered the consequences, and then rather than deal with the marriage, she left. She was on her own for a month or so and came to the conclusion that maybe ditching her husband before she so much as exchanged a few words with him was a little inconsiderate of her. So she returned to his home city and took a job as a barmaid to pay her bills, knowing that the rest of the party would return there eventually. Snotty noblewoman really doesn't pay very well.

So this is how her husband found her. She had been missing for about a month and a half and the last time he saw her was in her father's manor when she pretty much bullied him into marriage (nevermind she did it to restore his lands and family name). What would you do?

Go here for more on the Dark Mysteries campaign. (This scene is in Book II, chapter 9.)

Great art! Love it. This could of been a drawing of me 10 years ago. My S.C.A. name is Lady Wench Moira Hawthorne. LOL

I know that look all too well, as I work in a tourist trap community. It says, "Yeah, I sure haven't heard THAT one before."

You have a good sense of three dimensional depiction, very nice shading and lighting in all your drawings.

Ya know what? I love this. *wide grin* Your work is absolutely fabulous, and I definately love the Celtic Knotwork design behind her. I've dabbled in it a bit myself, but haven't quite figured out how to round it out yet. Heheh.

Anywho, what irony that this reminds me of someone! XD Funny funny. Yes, I created a character before my friend showed me this picture--that just so happens to wear that expression a lot, and is--guess what! A BARMAID!

Okay, I'll stop rambling now. Just wanted to share that lovely coincidence with you. *giggle* Beautiful picture.
