This picture has taken me over three months to do. I have spent over a 100ed hours on it and that’s just not the colouring. I used references for the cave. But I still didn't get it the way I wanted it to and I Messed up the mermaid's eye when I was inking over the drawing.

But I worked really hard on this one and I know there are tons of faults but I am still pleased with it.

You hard work is totally worth it, cos its a FANTASTIC pic! It is so original, all that colorfulness, I love those two magical creatures! And about the eye you can fix it in photoshop or even in pain (the mess hardly seen but if you mentioned that...), It is VERY VERY good pic!

1 Joanne Louise Sheard replies: "Why thank you very so much.... I am thinking of getting a Photoshop in the near future and maybe I could sort that eye out. Thanks for the comment Jo 2 "

Hi Jo! I must have completely missed this one..! Stupid me..:C
It shows very well that you put in a lot off work! The Hippocampus is beautiful and the mermaid is ok, even with the "inkerror", don´t worry about that! I love your way off putting in all those watercreatures and details! The whole picture kind off floats...Nice! 1

1 Joanne Louise Sheard replies: "Thank you Anne!!! I appreciate your warm comments 12 I am no longer worried about the ink mistake anymore. I am learning to expect faults and learn from them. I feel more comfortable wit ink pens at first I was a little shaky. But now I’ve over come it and can go with the flow. Once again thank you for you kind comments Jo 2 P.S sorry for answering so late Jo"

Ooh the colors, so vibrant and pretty! This is very interesting! I like it! =)

13 Joanne Louise Sheard replies: "I, I do enjoy giving my pictures colour. I feel it makes them come to life. With this drawing I was experimenting with soft colours (notice the hippocampus tail) and bright colours. I just wanted to do something different and I hadn’t drawn the sea for such along time. Thank you for your comments and I enjoyed looking at your gallery. You are good at drawing faces keep it up hun!!!! Jo 12"

As you say, there are faults with this, but I still find it very charming... it's like looking into a technicolour dreamworld, with all those colours and swirls. From your description I know that you put a lot of work into this, and your effort shows. Keep up the good work! ^_^

1 Joanne Louise Sheard replies: "First thank you ever so much for commenting my gallery!!!! 2.... and I am glad you think it is charming. The worst fault is the eye. Making a mess of the eye was really hard to get over. But I wasn’t going to start all over again.. 12 Oh by the way well done for Mods choice. Luv Jo 12"

The hippocampus's horn looks like bamboo! I like the idea 1 And I absolutely love that little deer/fish creature he seems to be aiming at. It's beautiful, graceful, original and cute 1

14 Joanne Louise Sheard replies: "  I think your right I never thought the horn as bamboo. Ah well thanks for the comment... 2 Jo"
